Summary: The Cancer Resource Specialist (CRS) is responsible for assisting the Client Services Coordinator with daily administrative functions of the Dempsey Center including: answering the phone, scheduling appointments for clients, assisting Center visitors, staying up to date on current knowledge of local, regional, and national cancer resources. The CRS assists clients with transportation and other immediate needs; and works with Helpline callers, oncology patients, cancer survivors, families and the general public.
The CRS is responsible for maintaining up-to-date client databases, orders supplies, and backup department timekeeping. Excellent customer service and computer skills a must.
Qualifications: Associate's Degree preferred. One year experience as an Administrative Assistant preferred. Strong customer service skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational skills. Strong self motivation; ability to work independently. Strong presentation skills.
Skills: Computer knowledge, including website development and maintenance a plus; Excel; Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Good organizational skills, exceptional customer service, empathetic. 2 -3 week nights will work until 8 pm.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
