Summary:The Boiler Engineer assists in the performance of duties necessary to operate and maintain boilers and other auxiliary equipment necessary for producing steam for heat and hot water for the hospital facility.
Requirements:High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED); training in boiler room operating techniques and related activities.Current4thClass, High Pressure license.Sufficient previous experience as Boiler Operator or Engineer with Boilers in excess of 20,000 lbs./hour.Experience in a hospital boiler room or similar healthcare setting a plus.
Skills:Basic computer knowledge.Knowledge of boiler operation, cleaning and maintenance and safety procedures.Understanding of or experience with heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems a plus.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
