The Senior Process Engineer - SGIE as part of the Front End team will translate business requirements into technical project scope and develop the design to achieve the business goals.
The Senior Process Engineer will have responsibility in the process area for the SGIE (Strategic Growth Investment Engineering) early project phases (Ideation, Feasibility and Concept).
The technical areas of responsibility include biologics-, cell & gene therapies-, mRNA-, small molecules-, bioconjugates- and drug product/aseptic manufacturing as well as labs.

Responsibilities:
The Senior Process Engineer will directly and/or indirectly via others:
manages the process design development with operations and MSAT for the project initiation phases (Ideation, Feasibility, Concept Design) generates and takes ownership for translation of the Project Business Requirements (PBR) into technical project scope document (PSD) and aligns with the team and Stakeholders facilitates the generation of the project URS during Feasibility and Concept Design and reviews together with client representative to ensure full alignment regarding scope, cost and schedule.
develop initial block and process flow diagrams (BFD, PFD), mass balance calculations and equipment list.
manage engineering partners or EPCMs during initiation project phases and ensure that specified deliverables and reports are delivered in quality and time.
ensures that all appropriate standards and regulations are incorporated both from internal and external with special focus on EHS and Sustainability.
effectively communicates with internal and external stakeholders and departments.
Key requirements:
Bachelor or Master in Engineering, Science or similar discipline Min.
5 years of experience in design/operation of biopharma-, pharma- and chemical facilities controls systems A solid understanding of design principles and standards within Biopharmaceutical facilities Needs to have the ability to translate complex information into simple to see messages that allows the customer to make comprehensible decisions Business fluent in English - German nice to have Every day, Lonza's products and services have a positive impact on millions of people.
