Job Details:
The CVIS PACS/Imaging Administrator designs, implements and develops or enhances data and workflow solutions; setting and managing goals, timelines and project objectives. Responsible for overseeing the daily operation of the CVIS PACS system(s) which includes monitoring and troubleshooting issues in image workflow, archiving, routing, and data integrity. The Enterprise CVIS PACS/Imaging Administrator supports all PACS users including managers, supervisors, cardiologists, staff, and other imaging customers to ensure optimum functionality, availability, system responsiveness, and integrity of both on-line and archived data for the PACS and Enterprise VNA.
Education &
Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in related field required. PACS/AART certification preferred.
Familiar with clinical information system applications such as electronic health record, radiology, and/ or PACS required
Three (3) years PACS Administration experience preferred
Seven (5) years work experience in the health care environment preferred
PACS/ARRT certification is preferred
Understanding of DICOM and HL7 protocols highly desired
Clinical background or strong clinical information technology background desired
Experience working in complex / multi-facility environments preferred
General experience in implementing clinical systems preferred
Proven project management and/or facilitation experience, including: Planning, Scheduling, Requirements Management, Change Management, meeting facilitation preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs):
Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills, especially with clinicians
Strong knowledge in imaging architecture
Advanced knowledge in imaging solutions/technologies related to internal and external image exchange
Working knowledge of hanging protocols, modality connectivity with PACS, and overall PACS solution support
Proven experience working on projects in a team environmentEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
