Summary: The Patient Service Representative, OPRS provides reception and direction to all customers in a professional, courteous and efficient manner. Utilizes computer functions for patient registration, appointment scheduling, and charge posting. Assists patients with basic billing questions. Meets the communication needs of the patient/family, departmental staff and medical staff. Implements directions from the physicians and the therapy staff.
Requirements: Medical Terminology knowledge base required or course completed. BCLS certification. High school graduate. Medical office experience preferred. Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing. Strong written and verbal skills.
Skills: Basic computer knowledge. Able to type/word process for data entry. . Desire to be a team player with a positive attitude, and responsive to change. Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to handle difficult situations. Ability to read, understand, and follow oral and written instruction. Attention to detail is essential. Knowledge of grammar, spelling, and punctuation. Skills in operating a computer, fax, and duplication machines. Professional manner and appearance.
Prior experience in Medical Office and interest in providing support to the clinical flow of patients.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
