Summary:The Supervisor, Security Department supervises personnel involved in establishing, promoting and maintaining hospital security and property protection programs by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates.
Requirements:High School Diploma or GED equivalent.Must possess a current, active Maine Driver s License with no court-imposed restrictions.Must be certified at the Basic and Supervisor s levels by the International Association for Hospital Security and Safety prior to or immediately after accepting the position.This CMHC position must meet the criteria for evaluating vehicle operator suitability.It has been determined that this position requires either the operation of a system or leased vehicle for business purposes on a regular basis as in integral.
Other:Must clear security checks:A.No convictions or offenses that reflect behavior unsuited for security.B.No convictions for violations of ME traffic laws that reflect abuse of intoxicating or impairing substances, or regard for public safety or general disregard for public law.(e.g. assault, theft)Record checks include:A.ME State Police Criminal History Files.B.Department of Motor Vehicles Files.
Skills:Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.Basic computer skills, required.
Must have flexility with scheduling.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
