Summary:The Reimbursement Analyst, under the general direction of the Reimbursement Manager, is responsible for the preparation of financial filing with regulatory agencies (such as Medicare and Medicaid); preparation of the Tricare and Martins Point annual cost filings, prepare month end entries regarding contractual allowances, bad debts, and estimated settlements; knowledgeable in accounting principles and reimbursement issues and their effect on the institution; has analytical and problem solving skills, as well as verbal and written communication skills; a wide degree of creativity and latitude;relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Requirements:Degree:Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or related field.Minimum
Experience: Three to four years of healthcare accounting or healthcare reimbursement experience.A high degree of analytical skills, the ability to maintain detailed accounting records and experience in computer software applications such as Excel, Word, Access, and HFS Cost Reporting Software.Other:Knowledge of regulatory systems within the State of Maine, including Medicare regulations and reporting.
Skills:Skilled in Excel, Word, and Access.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
